NEW! WHS Summer School

WHS Families,
If your child needs to recover credits lost this year, we highly recommend that you sign them up for Summer School starting on June 5th. This runs Monday through Thursday from June 5th to July 11th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and includes any SOL tests if applicable. See the attached link/calendar below for more details.
The classes available through Summer School are:
Algebra 1 Part 2 Algebra Functions Biology Earth Science Astronomy World Geography Virginia and US History Government English 9th through 12th PE I and PE II (this does NOT include Drivers Ed) Economics and Finance: This runs June 5th through June 16th

Attendance Counts Program

Starting with the 2nd semester, Waynesboro High School is beginning an Attendance Counts Incentive Program.  Every two weeks, any student who has missed less than 5 days since Jan. 4th will be entered into a drawing, and five lucky students will be chosen to spin the Waynesboro Wheel. Here is a list of just some of the fabulous prizes you could win:

  • A free large pizza from Pizza Hut
  • Free meal at McAllister’s Deli
  • $10 gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings
  • $10 gift card to McDonald’s
  • $25 Amazon Card
  • $25 Martins gift card

However, you must be present to win! Our first drawing will be Monday, Jan. 23. 

Also, check out the Average Daily Attendance by grade posted outside the cafeteria.  Remember Attendance Counts.

Child Tax Credit

Affordable Connectivity Program

The federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a longer-term replacement for the federal Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB). The government program provides eligible customers of participating providers a reduction of the customer's broadband internet bill.

Watch High School Sports on NFHS Network

Below is the link to subscribe to watch our student-athletes compete at home and away events. The cost is $79.99 for a year subscription and the school receives $20 for each subscription. Teen Health Clinic

Health services are available to teens including family planning counseling, birth control, and STI testing & treatment. All services are confidential. Most services are free or low cost. By appointment only, call 540.949.0137

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide a more secure facility for students and their property, Waynesboro High School is pleased to offer activity locker use to students participating in extracurricular activities through WHS.
